USB Deview is used to uninstall drivers. Uninstalling drivers comes in handy when you wish to prevent / resolve a driver clash and remove incompatible / corrupted drivers.

Requirements


How to use USB Deview


Follow the steps below to uninstall drivers using USB Deview

  1. Run USB Deview as Administrator

  2. Scroll to the driver you wish to uninstall

  3. Right-click the driver and select Uninstall Selected Devices

  4. Click Yes to confirm

Important Notice
  • Ensure to run the tool as administrator to avoid running into permission issues
  • Avoid uninstalling drivers whose function(s) you're uncertain of

vcom driver is the name of the driver required by a PC for communicating with mtk devices

I have a lot of drivers on the when usbdeview was run as admin, how do I know which one to uninstall?

Don't uninstall anything unless you have a driver clash

It's quite rare from my experience but the device will often not get detected despite you having installed necessary drivers
