How to manually install MT65xx (MediaTek) USB VCOM drivers on Windows part 2

(This post was last modified: 11-01-2014, 05:23 AM by Tejrooney. )

Download →
.zip   MTK ANDROID DRIVERS.zip (Size: 2.8 MB / Downloads: 369)
Extract this to a folder..
Go to "device manager" by typing it in the search box at the programme menu on ur pc, plug ur mtk device (probably tecno and it must be off) to the pc and detect the changes. the computer will display MT65xx, under Other devices; as quick as possible, right-click on it and go for update driver..
Select the computer to browse manually for the drivers and direct it to the folder u already created with the earlier extracted files. Then "Update"
Allow the system to install driver anyway when prompt to do so.
Wait until it is done and you will see a succession message..

"To confirm the driver, close all window unplugged and replug ur phone(still in off mode), check the popup at the right hand side bottom corner, it will detect it as a Mediatek vcom preloader." Now u are good to start dealing with the phone (flashing, backups etc)
Thanks...for helping
I am gonna try this out and feed you back if it works for my stubborn phone that refuses to connect via USB port. Thanks in advance.
