After flashing Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery, you could bump into the mount errors listed below:

E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

These errors could mean that the custom recovery isn't fully compatible or that there's a problem with certain partitions on the device.

Steps to fix E: Can't mount /cache/recovery, log or last_log in Clockworkmod recovery

If you get the above errors in Clockworkmod recovery mode then consider the following fixes

  1. Re-install Clockworkmod recovery
  2. Format Cache under Mounts and Storage
  3. Re-flash the system.img
  4. Enter the correct mount points in your recovery image's  ramdisk/etc/recovery.fstab
  5. If the error persists then try porting from a different source custom recovery

Important Notice
If you get this error without having flashed a recovery image then your device might have an emmc problem
