i fixed the nvram issue but the next time i powered on the device again it was there so i deciided to flash a custom rom. However, the phone couldnt reboot so i reflashed the cwm back up but it didnt reboot

you should not have flashed a custom rom yet. should have waited for 24 hours to fully observe the phone. anyway, you'll have to start from scratch. flash the MTK backup to the phone then restore the cwm backup again. we've already gone through this so refer to our chat history

format the phone (except bootloader) using sp flash tool then start again

i managed to fix it. However, am still having problems with the nvram/imei issue. I tried using mtk droid tools to replace them but it doesnt work and am provided with the same imei for both slots. I also tried reflashing the rom and that did not work too and i cant find another phone to back up the imei. Now my phone doesnt detect the sim cards unless i turn airplane on and then turn it off and even when it detects the sim cards it only works for calls and texts but not internet which is a real pain.
