I have a Tecno Q1 that just gave up the ghost after its battery charge ran down. Wouldn't start up. It was working perfectly before the battery ran down.
It ran out of charge a couple of days ago. I plugged it on to the charger and left it for around 30 minutes, then attempted to turn it on.
It showed that battery charging but would either:
1. Not turn on completely, with charger disconnected, just keeps vibrating every 10 seconds.
2. Lights up when charger is connected, but doesn't go beyond the Tecno logo. The only way I can then turn it off is by physically removing the battery.
Either way it gets a little hot after a while. Say 3 0r 4 minutes in.
Thought it might be the charger or charging system or battery. Got a new charger and battery with the same results. Took it to a tech to check the charging system and that's fine too.
I should mention though, that it has had a previous issue with the charging system that required replacing.
I have tried to hard reset using the Volume up key and power button but to no avail. It wont get past the tecno logo.
I'm running out of options. I'd like a copy of Tecno Q1 stock rom to see if i can flash the phone. Right now I need the phone working more than I need the data in the internal storage. I have most of it backed up elsewhere anyway.
