i have a thl w100s phone with s/n starts by CFYSG24W.
i am trying to flash a rom with sp tools.
first of all i think the phone battery dont charge even i put the phone in charge all night.k
i have instal the mtk drivers to my pc. win 7 x86.
its properly instaled because i have a other phone with mtk and work fine.
when i connect the phone to pc connect and disconect continuasly.
i open the device manager and the phone apears one time as mtk preloaded and the other as usb port.
i have 4 versions of flash tool and i download ThL.W100S.A2.140331.JB5.V16.QHD.EN.COM.8P32_MT6582_W_4H5 and this
ThL.W100.A2.131115.JB5_.V16.QHD_.EN_.COM_.8P32_MT6582_W_4H5 rom from needrom
i cant find the A1 version and i try
http://www.needrom.com/download/thl-w100-v3-series/ with the same s/n as mine but also fail.

the only buton in flash toll works is the format with the green circle.
how can i stop first connect and disconect

Get another PC (Windows 7) and USB cord then install VCOM drivers using https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-440.html

hello.
i follow your advice and install manually the drivers. no sulotion . i chance the cord (i havent other pc with win 7 only a other with win 10).
tryed to use sptools and i take this error. BROM ERROR : S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)
i 'll try all the solutions you give
Solution:

* Ensure to run the latest version of SP flash tool as Administrator
* Format first then Download
* Don't tick a box with an unspecified / empty file path
* Ensure the phone is switched off (with a well charged battery in it ) before connecting to PC for flashing
* Try a different PC
* Try a different ROM
* Try a different USB cord
* Try formatting the phone first before flashing files to it
but nothing happen.
the phone still conect and disconect.
aslo i think the batery is fully discharge because even i left a hole night to power the morning the batery is still cold.

i charge the batery with external charger.
same result. the phone connect and disconect from pc.
if the connection with pc is stable i can flash the rom. how can that make hapen?

That's not a problem.

* Launch Device manager (Right-click My Computer > Select Manage) 
* Connect the phone to the PC via a USB cord, Device manager should refresh 
* Take note of what the phone is detected as (often as Unknown or Mediatek under Other devices) 
* Right-click whatever the phone is detect as and select Update Driver Software... 
* Select Browse my computer for driver software 
* Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer 
* Click Next 
* Click Have Disk 
* Proceed with the Mediatek (VCOM) driver installation steps described at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-440.html and click Yes if you get an Update Driver warning

i follow your instraction and the result is the same as before. the pc detect the phone as mtk usb port (com20), disconect and the next refresh detect the phone as mediatek preloader usb vcom port (com14). disconect again and continue this cyrcle.
