Thanks for your response.
I was playing a video from youtube and realized that the sound wasn't coming.
In an attempt to increase the volume i also observed that volume had the bluetooth icon beside it, however, the phone was still mute.
So i decided to restart it and that was it. The device got bricked. I remember using it once to stream a movie online from this link www.g2g.fm and a notice popped up that it had contracted some viruses (it didn't state the kind of virus) and i was going to loose everything.
So i backed up my data and apps and reset the phone to factory reset. Then I began using it for not too long until the day it got bricked.
Since then i've researched and read some stuffs on this. In fact your forum has been very helpful. Just yesterday, the ADB command prompt was able to identify the device, but after the daemon displays the phone's serial, it says "recovery" instead of "device".
i'm stuck here because i don't know how it works and what command i should send to reinstall the Android OS.

need to ask you a few questions
1. Is your P5 Old OS or New OS type? (Describe in detail the color of the boot animation)
2. What does the device show when you try booting?
3. can the phone enter recovery or factory mode?
4. can you get access to a working p5 exactly like yours

I don't know if its an Old P5 OS or new
when i power it normally, it reads:

Encryption Unsuccessful
Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset.
When you set up your phone after reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore
any data that was backed up to your Google account.

then the reset button which is clickable.
But any time i click it, it takes me to CWM.

the boot logo comes up when i boot it, the robot lying down and a "No Command" statement.
it is green on black screen
when i press and hold both the power and volume up keys together it boots to the ClockWorkMod. this is what it states:

Android system recovery <3e>

Volume up/down to move ...........................

reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data

i have done all of these. I assume this is the recovery/factory mode.
i can't get a P5 exactly like mine

from your description, what you have is stock recovery, not Clockworkmod recovery. to resolve the encryption unsuccessful error, follow this guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-579.html
