I just lost all call history. I tried the backups but as soon as restore was completed, it would lose call history again. I disconnected after recover but still no call history.
Out of desperation, as I have all my passwords etc on it (yes, I know) but I trusted the iTunes backup system. I looked on the net and found a recovery company called iPhone Data Recovery. I tested it and there it all was, but it has now cost me £71 to purchase key number to download my info.
Now I have to type it all in again. I will keep manual backups now as well as using it from now on. Nightmare. I hope this helps you all.

When you deleted data on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, can you still view and recover them? In fact, you can't view them directly on your iDevice, because they're deleted. But technically, you can if the deleted data are not overwritten by new data with the help of iPhone Data Recovery. The deleted data only becomes invisible when they're deleted. That's to say, in a proper way, you still have a chance to read the deleted data.
When a "delete" is completed, the particular space that the file takes up is usually marked as blank and can be used again by new files, however, the deleted file will probably be still there until finally new data overwrites it. Consequently, if you ever haven't taken any new photos or video clips, you still can recover deleted photos by making use of iPhone Recovery software.
Check if you have iTunes or iCloud backup of your iPhone first, if you have either of them, try to recover deleted call history on iPhone with previous backup.
iTunes and iCloud will automatically back up your iPhone even if have not done it manually:
iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your iPhone on a daily basis as long as your device is:
Connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi
Connected to a power source
Screen locked
iTunes can create backups of your iPhone automatically when you sync with iTunes (disabled if you have iCloud backup turned on).
Still haven’t found your iPhone backup? These are still other methods to recover deleted notes on your iPhone with iPhone Data Recovery.
