To remove write protection on your flash drive, SD card, external Hard Disk etc:
  1. Open Start Menu
  2. Run, type regedit and press Enter.
  3. This will open the registry editor.
  4. Navigate to the following path:
  5. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlStorageDevicePolicies
  6. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0 In the Data Value Box,
  7. Press OK
  8. Exit Registry,
  9. Restart your computer and then re-connect your USB pen drive to your computer.
