This guide will explain how to block a website, IP or Mac address on SWIFT 4G LTE wireless router. This is important to manage who is connected to your Wi-Fi network and block content they aren't allowed to access.
Steps to block / blacklist a URL, IP or Mac address on SWIFT 4G LTE router
Follow the steps below to manage / monitor connected devices and block websites on SWIFT router
In your browser's address bar, visit http://homerouter.cpe , 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1 then press Enter
Enter your credentials then click Login (if you've never changed them then
Default username: user
Default password: user
If the above credentials don't work then try
Default username: admin
Default password: admin
You should now be in your Home Router Dashboard
Click on Security at the top
Click on URL Filtering (to block a website)
Tick Blacklist or Whitelist (as the case may be) then click Add Item
Type the url of the website then click Submit
The website should now appear as blacklisted
Its the same procedure for IP and MAC addresses, the difference is what you select in step 5 above. For URL, URL Filtering. For MAC, MAC Filtering. For IP, IP Filtering
Important Notice
You canĀ also whitelist a website (URL), IP or Mac address
URL filter only works for http websites. For https sites, you use DNS filter
The rules of the whitelist take precedence over those of the blacklist
