[Please help] Hard Bricked Tecno A7
[Please help] Hard Bricked Tecno A7
(24-10-2015, 04:59 AM)ebena Please I need help in unbricking my Tecno A7. It got bricked while trying to flash latest Stock ROM( the one that corrected OTA update/insufficient storage issue).
I guess the problem resulted from selecting All (including cache & Usrdata) while flashing the ROM backup. It gave an error msg and i clicked ok. Then the phone refused to boot up.
The USBView/device manager can see VCOM connected but SP Flash tool is not seeing it.
Also, the phone cannot boot to either recovery/factory mode and does not show charging sign when connected to charger.
Adb/fastboot is not equally listing it.
Please, what can I do.
Thanks

(24-10-2015, 04:14 PM)hovatek You interrupted flashing, read https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-808.html

(24-10-2015, 09:21 PM)ebena Yes, I think I did.
After watching some youtube video on opening iPhones abd Galaxy phones, I managed to remove the back cover and disconnected the battery and board terminals. After few minutes i put them back and charged up the phone....after 3+hours of charge, t noticed the home button lighted up and the phone started to charge.
Later I tried powering it up and it came up to its old self. I will allow it to fully charge and flash it again.
Thanks for your help.
