this may be warning or advice for all mediatek or any other chip based device users-
*Never use SP flash tool version which don't support your device(for mtk chips) .first search your device supported version and download and use it.
*Never use Preloader.bin named file of other device to flash in your phone .if your model and device are same then take risk of flashing it .also check before using preloader.bin file present in your stock rom as some manufacturers tweak them during flashing it.
FOR THIS I WILL RECOMMEND READ BACK FEATURE IN SP FLASH TOOL AND PROCESS IT WITH MTK DROID TOOLS 2.5.3 .THE PRELOADER.BIN FILE PROCESSED IS BEST FILE YOU WILL GET FOR YOUR DEVICE.
*Don't unnecessarily flash preloader.bin file on your file.
REMEMBER YOU MAY FLASH A ROM WITHOUT FLASHING PRELOADER.BIN FILE.
ONLY IN CASE OF FIRMWARE UPGRADE YOU REQUIRE TO FLASH THIS FILE.
SO IN DOWNLOAD MODE UNTICK PRELOADER.BIN FILE.
*In QUALCOMM processors the bootloader file is partition.mbn or partition.bin named file.

**REMEMBER DON'T TAKING MY POINTS SERIOUSLY WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE**

IF YOU HAVE YOUR PHONE'S WARRANTY LEFT THEN YOU CAN TAKE RISKS BUT IT WILL RESULT IN YOUR PHONE AWAY FROM YOU FOR MORE THAN A MONTH
UPDATE: IF YOUR PHONE IS SHOWN AS MTK USB PORT TRY THIS
SELECT FIRMWARE UPGRADE/DOWNLOAD MODE
SELECT YOUR STOCK PRELOADER FILE.
CLICK DOWNLOAD AND CONNECT YOUR PHONE SWITCHED OFF.
IT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK
IF NOTHING SHOWS IN DEVICE MANAGER TRY INSTALLING USB VCOM DRIVERS MANUALLY AND INSTALL MTK USB PORT FROM IT.

thnx for the great post.. hopefully i wud have read it b4...
now by mistake i flashed the rom of different device to my Xolo 8x 1000 but the sp flsh tool stuck at red bar 1005 AFTER THAT MY DEVICE IS NOT AT all detectng
It is getting detected in device manager as a vcom driver but sp flash tool is not cuming up as it is connected to a device
plzz help me

Maybe you try it with your stock rom. Remove battery.
Restart your pc if sp flashtool not coming on screen may be minimising other programs than sp flash tool.exe may work
Try firmware upgrade with sp flash tool setting to auto detect battery or without battety just try both methods - battery inserted or removed.
If you are lucky it may be alive
But 99% chances are its bricked.
If you have warranty you may submit to service centre making any excuse that you don't know what happened to it.
Otherwise if not in warranty you may say truth and will be charged for this.

Please help i need acer Z630S preloader.
My device is hard bricked. Sad

I now brought another same device from my friend but its mtk6753 cant be backed up.

Please help.

Right bro you maynot backup
But search google for stock rom of your phone it will include the file in it
You will definitely find it

This thread is very important. Thank you very much. I have a note 3 clone sm-n900 but I'm not sure about its hardware specs. It's stuck on Android logo. In the preloader it shows the following :

Good evening. I had infinix x556 that has no baseband. So to fix it I back up the old ROM with cm2 after backing up. I use that same file to flash the phone the phone refuse to on again.
# thats how i normally fix it. I just don't understand why it bricked. Can some one tell me what happened.
