Hi i was trying to port twrp with the twrp porter it was successful how ever it ports a older twrp file that is not compatible with project treble my phone is a cloud mobile storm c3 mt6739 Android 8.1 go edition the link to my stock recovery is https://mega.nz/#!5aog3aRL!PeMuEM563b581...Gu25qjAqwA[url=https://mega.nz/#!5aog3aRL][/url]

...not compatible with project treble...
are you referring to been able to flash image files in twrp?

Yes I'm referring to not being able to flash gsi in twrp

extract the content of the below attached zip file
unpack your current twrp using android image kitchen or use the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15817.html
copy the new fstab file you extracted to /ramdisk/etc/ ; replace the existing fstab file(s)
repack the twrp then retry flashing image
